Hosting Under ₹300, ₹500 or $5: Check the Full Commitment

A hosting offer can fit a monthly budget on paper while exceeding the cash you have available today. A quoted monthly equivalent may require several years paid upfront.
Keep three questions separate: is the introductory equivalent below your limit, can you afford the initial charge, and does the later cost still fit? This is a dated offer check, not a speed ranking.
Define what your budget includes
Write down the currency, maximum payment today and maximum recurring cost. Decide whether the limit covers only hosting or also tax, domain renewal, email and backup services.
Do not silently convert US-dollar offers into rupees. Exchange rates, payment charges, eligibility and tax can change the amount you actually pay. Compare local checkout totals where possible.
An India offer snapshot
The Hostinger India catalogue, checked in October 2026, displayed these 48-month offers. The table records advertised equivalents and term totals, not a monthly-payment option.
| Plan | Introductory equivalent | 48-month total | Renewal displayed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single | ₹69/month | ₹3,312 | ₹289/month |
| Premium | ₹149/month | ₹7,152 | ₹449/month |
| Unlimited | ₹249/month | ₹11,952 | ₹649/month |
All three introductory equivalents are below ₹300. Only the displayed Single renewal equivalent is below ₹300, and the Unlimited renewal exceeds ₹500. These comparisons exclude taxes and separately charged services. Confirm the actual renewal term, invoice and inclusions before paying.
This illustrates how the same provider can fit or fail the budget depending on which period you compare. It does not establish the cheapest suitable plan across the market.
For a $5 ceiling, check the later bill too
Use the budget hosting offer comparison for a separate US-dollar example and its billing qualifications. A first-term price below $5 does not establish a renewal below $5.
Record the current offer from the official catalogue and checkout. If a renewal figure is unclear, ask before buying. Do not substitute an old review’s estimate for the supplier’s actual terms.
Keep essential capabilities in the comparison
Check website count, storage, processing limits, software compatibility and recovery. Features shown for another tier may not belong to the discounted plan.
If a required mailbox or backup service is separate, add it. If it is promotional, record when the promotion ends. “Unlimited” allowances still require the provider’s usage policy.
Avoid buying a long term just to meet the headline
Compare the commitment with your confidence in the product. Read refund exclusions and test the operating routine during an appropriate evaluation period. A cheap multi-year price can still be an unsuitable commitment for an untested project.
Do not remove useful recovery or security controls merely to force a plan under the budget. If no eligible service fits, reconsider the feature requirements, operating model or available budget.
Make the decision using a complete total
Use the cost worksheet to list initial and renewal charges. Retain a dated quote and set a reminder before renewal. Choose a service that meets the website’s requirements at a payment schedule you can sustain.
